Today is International Women’s Day, so I thought about all of the women I know and how important they are.

I know a woman who works at a school. She helps children grow to be smart.

I know a woman who works with NASA. She explores the universe with a telescope and a lot of math.

I know a woman who runs a library. She always has a lot to do as she serves her community.

I know a woman who works at a hospital. She healed me when I was really sick.

I know a woman who delivers pizzas. She always delivers them hot and on time.

I know a woman who is a mother. She teaches her children important lessons you can’t learn at school.

I know a woman who is a police officer. She works hard to fight crime and it is dangerous work.

I know a woman who writes poetry. She is a deep philosopher.

I know that without any of these women, the world would be missing a lot.

Take a moment today to appreciate the women around you and all of the hard work that they do.
