About the Foundation

The Vestavia Hills Library Foundation (VHLF) was founded in 1997 to promote the Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest as a vibrant, indispensable community center that enriches the lives of all patrons. As such, VHLF seeks public and private partnerships to sustain a perpetual endowment that complements the city’s funding of library operations. With your assistance, this endowment supports long-term growth, addresses emerging community needs and enhances life-long learning through diverse programming offered to children, teens and adults.

A strong public library is the very foundation upon which a community builds for the future. This is the place where the sky is the limit. You can dream about everything and learn how to accomplish almost anything. With a library card in hand, you have access to the best resource in town, your public library. From inspiring young readers through programming to providing entertainment for seniors – the Library in the Forest has it all. This is where your donation reaches all generations … lives are touched, minds are nourished and community is strengthened.

Every gift to the Vestavia Hills Library Foundation is greatly appreciated and much needed. There are many ways to give.
